Disc Throwing Workshop
Wednesday June 5, 2020
Join top disc doc competitor, Tracy Prudden, for a disc throwing workshop to help improve your dogs catch rate.
Tracy Prudden started playing Frisbee in HS playing Ultimate and dabbling in Freestyle. She got her first disc dog in the 80's. In 1994, She got a rescue BC, Flying Red Killian, he taught her all about the sport of K9 disc.
In 1997, she won one of the 16 coveted spots and her first trip to the Alpo Canine Frisbee disc World Finals in Washington, D.C. They went to the World Finals in D.C. again in 1998 and in 2000 they finished in 5th place out of the 18 teams invited to the World Finals in New York City. At one point she held the Women's Open Quadruped record of 63 yds which stood for several years.
Tracy has found that it is typically the human half of a disc dog team that has the most learning to do. She enjoys helping people with their throwing skills so they can play more safely with their dog and they both will have more fun.
