Barn Hunt Classes

Introduction to Barn Hunt

This class is for teams that have never done barn hunt or are at the novice level. Topics covered are rules and regulations, introducing your dog to rats, basics of tunnels and climbs, understanding and working different ring positions, and a mock trial to get you ready to enter a local trial. This one session for 2 hours only.

So, your dog is turned on to the rat! Now learn more about how to understand what your dog is telling you when they are hunting. Get them use to climbing, tunnels, and searching while you work on your handling of found rats, moving with your dog, and better understanding the rules of the game!

This class is for teams competing at the Senior/Master level and who want to hone their skills. We'll continue working on tunnels, reading the dogs signal, reducing hunting times, and communication between you and your dog.
